Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Please consult individual exam pages for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam material. The Faculty Dashboard in Workday has an option to "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty discover their exam schedules. Registration
The exam schedule is available on the internet, and students are encouraged to review it. However it is crucial to note that the final exam schedule can change at any time. This is why students should consult their instructors to confirm that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should also print the official list to bring with them to the exam.
In addition to the exam schedule, students should familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and terms and conditions. These can be found on the webpage for each exam. Students acknowledge having read and agreed to the terms and conditions upon registration.
Exam locations make every effort to accommodate students with special needs. The nature and degree of these needs should be stated on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation of a doctor. The exam locations must also be able to respect confidentiality and keep it.
If a student has three examinations scheduled for the same day, it is recommended to contact their department or instructor to arrange an alternate exam. Before taking the test students must prepare by studying the study material and practice their German skills. Students who pass the exam are awarded the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate documents achievement of language level A1. This level corresponds to the initial stage of the six-level scale of competence that is set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students should bring a valid government-issued ID to the test. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.
Fees
You'll need to pay a fee for the examination if you wish to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This fee is in addition to the course fees.
Practice tests give you an overview of the format and wording, as well as the difficulty of questions on the test. They allow you to assess your knowledge level, find gaps in knowledge and improve your chances of passing the exam.
Please take note that the exam fee is non-refundable. Exam results can only be electronically sent, not via phone.
