Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below lists reserved time periods, not exams that have been confirmed. Please confirm with your instructor if the final exam for the course will be conducted during this time.

Locations
The Exam Schedule lists locations where DEP conducts operator certification exams. Check out the individual exam pages for additional guidelines, conditions and guidelines and exam material. If you require special accommodations due to chronic illness or hearing or visual impairment, please contact the exam provider directly. Make sure to submit a thorough documentation at the time of registration.
The Faculty Dashboard in Workday includes the option of "View My Teaching Schedule" which lets faculty discover their exam schedules. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for those classes that must have an exam by NYSED regulations. Final exams for evening classes are scheduled during the regular class times of the final exam weeks.

Registration
The exam schedule is accessible online, and students are advised to review it. It is important to note that the final schedule of exams may change at any moment. Therefore, students should consult with their instructors to confirm that they have the correct date and time for their test. Students should be sure to print the official list and bring it with them to their exams.
In addition to the exam schedule, students should also familiarize themselves with the exam guidelines and conditions and terms. These are available on the individual exam page. Students acknowledge they have read and agree to the terms and conditions of registration.
Exam sites make every effort to accommodate students with special requirements. The nature and severity of these needs should be declared on the registration and confirmed by a physician's attestation. Additionally, the exam locations must respect and maintain confidentiality.
If a student is scheduled to take three examinations scheduled for the same day it is recommended that they contact their department or instructor to arrange an alternate exam. It is possible to take three examinations on the same day. However, this could cause a lot of stress and can affect the quality of the exam. Additionally, the instructor may not be able to conduct a makeup test on a different day.
Students must review their course material before taking the exam and must practice their German skills. The exam is a test on paper that tests the ability to read, speak, and write in German. The test results are reported using a scale from A1 to C2. Students who succeed in passing the test are awarded a Goethe-Zertifikat. The test is free. Students are required to bring an official government ID to the examination. Those without a valid photo identification will be disqualified.
Fees
You'll need to pay an examination fee if you wish to receive the Goethe-Zertifikat (start German 1) after you have completed your Elan Academy studies. This is in addition to the course fee.
Practice tests allow you to get an understanding of the style of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They help you evaluate your knowledge level, find areas of knowledge that aren't covered and increase your chances of passing the test.
Please note that the exam fee isn't refundable. Exam results are only electronically sent, not via phone.
